About you and this role

Responsibilities
- Develop value-creating solutions and products for customers, translating Dow's technologies into business opportunities.
- Identify patentable ideas, participate in patent teams, and initiate confidentiality agreements to protect Dow's intellectual capital.
- Lead technical sub-teams, define project scopes, and provide constructive advice to team members.
- Tailor communication for various audiences, document work through reports and presentations, and draft patent disclosures as needed.

Qualifications
- A minimum of an MSc in chemistry, polymer science, industrial chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, or material engineering; a PhD is a plus.
- Experience in polymer chemistry (synthesis/characterization) and/or formulation science is preferred.
- Experience in polyurethane chemistry and processing is a plus and Experience in rigid polyurethane foam is highly valued.
- Proficient in English

Your Skills
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of polyurethane chemistry and processing, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Collaboration: Effective in cross-functional international teams, building networks across geographies and cultures.
- Communication: Excellent skills to tailor messages for various audiences and document work clearly.
- Hands-On Approach: Practical experience with polyurethane processing equipment and customer troubleshooting.

- You are able to travel between 20% and 30%
- This position does not offer relocation support
