Research Analyst

**Job Purpose**:
Support the development of sound fundamental analysis of Grain and Oilseeds. Ensure timely communication on key changes to traders and other stakeholders. Develop sound SND. Aim to send the Junior analyst in one year time in another office to continue “training”.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct and supervise fundamental research in Grain and Oilseeds;
- Compile databases;
- Ensure roll-out of best practices in analysis across commodities;
- Support the traders in their market analysis needs and requests.

**What is needed to be successful in this role**:

- Analytical/statistical skills;
- Preferred education: economics (macro & micro), agricultural economics, econometrics.

**Key Result Areas**:

- Sound S&D analysis, accurate directional forecasts;
- Stakeholders’ satisfaction and timely communication;
- Provide frequent market updates and price implications to traders.
