**BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT**:
FINC is responsible for ensuring accountability to donors on the utilization of contributions and to support financial management through accounting for contributions, CSP analysis and reporting. The objectives of the Unit is to (i) Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, (ii) Improve financial management in accounting for contributions, income, and expenditures, and; (iii) support the financial management of the CSP

The Unit requires temporary support in the form of a Consultancy to augment its current capacity. The Finance Consultant will be supervised on a day-to-day basis by the unit Chief or his delegate

**ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Finance Consultant will be responsible primarily for donor financial standard and/or specialized reports as follows:

- Annual Country Reports
- Organize and assist in the timely issuance of the ACRs.
- Validate and test the ACRs
- Follow up on ACRs problem data issues with other divisions and COs
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from donors and other WPF Offices on a timely basis
- Assist in the coordination and monitoring of CSP financial closure, look for appropriate accounting adjustments and follow up corrective actions.
- Support in the monitoring of CSP related unspent balance and coordinate with PPR
- Support country office to analyze and process Advance and Final Resource Transfer as well as Balance Transfer
- Assist in the arrangements on relevant testing of donor reporting-related tools
- Undertake other assignments related to FINC work
- Specialised Financial Reporting
- Prepare specialized financial reports in compliance with donor’s agreements, including financial analysis
- Oversee contribution receivables for related grants including necessary cash postings, clearances, other accounting adjustments of receivables, and related matters
- If applicable, support verification missions by providing necessary information to the relevant parties
- Support as necessary other staff on specialized donor reporting.
- Other activities associated with the production of specialized financial reporting

**DELIVERABLES**:
Ensure accuracy and timely delivery in all tasks performed; Produces organized, accurate, and well-documented records conforming to required format with well-analyzed data

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
**Education**:
University degree in Accounting or Finance

**Experience**:
Experience working in the finance or resource management function, preferably in the field, in a humanitarian institution

Experience in preparation of donor financial reports is an advantage

**Knowledge and Skills**:
Ability to review a variety of data, identify data discrepancies; scrutiny in the preparation of reports; good Excel and data processing skill; accounting and/or finance-related working experience.

**Languages**:
Fluency (C) in oral and written English
