Junior Accountant

At Marketplace Distri we're looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks at the headquarters in Lucca (Tuscany)

You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

Marketplace Distri is active in developing brands on an international level, both for B2B and B2C markets, especially focusing on improving their performance on Amazon.

We currently work in ES, UK, DE, IT, FR, PL,SE and NL managing more than 100.000 product pages in 8 countries.

We are looking for a bright, ambitious, and dedicated self-starter that will work with an international team of professionals.

Tasks

The junior Accountant supports our financial controller with the goal to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long-term success.

**We would like you to**:

- Administrative activities
- General Accounting
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Banking and bank reconciliations
- Assist our financial controller in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Assist our financial controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

**Qualifications**:

- A degree in business administration is considered a plus
- Diploma in accountancy or similar is required
- In general, he/she should have proven previous experiences in a similar field

Skills and Competencies
- Precision, attention to detail
- Analytical skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Knowledge of economics and finance
- Office package (excel, PowerPoint, word)
- Diligence and ability to prioritize workload
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
- Fluent in the English language
