Operations Trainee

**Medov Logistics**is a high experienced Logistics provider with a group of professionals based in our offices in Genoa, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Singapore and Miami providing Global Logistics Operations & Project Management for the maritime and cruise industry.

**Position Summary**: We are looking for someone passioned about logistics and maritime/cruise industry, motivated in developing/continue his/her career in an international environment as Operations Trainne.

The Operations Trainee is part of the team planning, coordinating and driving logistics activities, deliveries on board, ensuring that all logistics operations are accomplished according to the project scope, timelines and budget.

The Operations Trainee serves as the logistics liaison for assigned vessels/projects, working with shipowners, suppliers, vendors, buyers, Superintendents and shipboard personnel, Customs Agent, trucking Co, identifying cost saving opportunities/efficiencies in delivery and new revenue streams.

**Duties and Responsibilities**_included but not limited to_:

- Minimum 3 years of experience working at a freight forwarding company
- Proven experience in sea freight import/export operations
- Cruise Industry knowhow will be considered an add value
- International import/export land/courier shipments
- Full autonomy in managing import deliveries after a brief training period
- Basic understanding of customs procedures and regulations (import duties, HS codes, Incoterms, etc.)
- Complaint handling
- Relations with foreign correspondents
- International import/export land/courier shipments

**Skills & Requirements**:

- Fluency in English
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office knowledge of a second foreign language will be an added value
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational & Problem-solving skills
- Good teamwork skills & Ability to work under pressure in a proactive manner
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Contratto di lavoro: Tempo pieno

Retribuzione: €600,00 - €650,00 al mese
