As we continue growing our operations in Italy, we are looking for an experienced Head of Government Relations to define and lead all our government and regulated efforts. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting and executing a plan for our dynamic and rapidly scaling business, working with internal leaders who develop our latest technology and bring our super-fast delivery services to market. Key responsibilities; **What you'll be doing**: - Develop a proactive framework to support the company's business interests by influencing local and state legislation, policies and regulations; - Represent the company at all levels of government and with other stakeholder organizations; - Cultivate and maintains relationships with policymakers and regulators at all levels of government and their staff to maximize opportunities to advance favorable policy initiatives; - Establish alliances with various industry associations or other groups as appropriate to further state & local legislative and regulatory interests; - Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, including regional trade associations and coalitions to advance policy positions and to support the gathering of early intelligence and information on emerging policy issues; - Serves as an "early warning system" to stakeholders inside the company on important state & local policy trends; - Collaborate with the internal government affairs staff to identify emerging issues and determine how to advance legislative and policy interests at the state and local levels; - Develop and execute a strategy to actively demonstrate the company's commitment to social responsibility in the regulated products space; and - Facilitate meaningful engagement with the appropriate external partners to amplify the company's CSR work with key stakeholders. **What you'll bring**: - Minimum 10+ years of experience (public policy, politics, government affairs). - Experience in regulated industries - beverage alcohol, tobacco, pharmacy (or other regulated industry); - Demonstrated superior communications and writing skills; - Demonstrated ability to work under pressure for periods of time; - Crisis-tested leadership experience; comfortable dealing with ambiguous environments - Demonstrated experience or ability in public speaking, project management and possess excellent organizational skills; - First class communication skills (native-level English), both verbal and written and the ability to distil complex issues and express them lucidly, authoritatively and in a manner/style that engages audiences - A superb writer who can distill complex ideas into simple, intellectually credible narratives - A self-starter who crafts how we tell our story to the world, requiring the ability to develop relationships, set a strategy, and execute.
