As Project Engineering
- Technical Support & Managementin the Bari Shop, you will support product validation, troubleshooting and readiness by executing and improving instrumentation testing activities with the highest focus on HSE, Quality and Operational Excellence. Your role includes work in test environments test benches, shop tests) and light interaction with Mechanical Design on Fuel Gas Scrubbers Project Execution to ensure instrumentation solutions are correctly integrated, installable, and maintainable. Collaborate with the best In this role, reporting to the PVS Fuel Gas Systems Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Define the technical scope of work to be executed by External Contractors, including:
- Take care of engineering, manufacturing, testing, inspection, documentation, Procurement, Fulfillment and support activities.
- Interface with Purchaser and other contractors
- Take care of exclusions, assumptions, and limits of responsibility
- Clearly identify make vs. buy boundaries and responsibilities for sub‑supplier management
- Specify deliverables, milestones, and acceptance criteria associated with the scope
- Define technical requirements for equipment and materials to be procured from sub‑suppliers, including:
- Take care of applicable standards, codes, and certifications
- Deal with functional, performance, and environmental requirements
- Define materials, ratings, and configuration constraints
- Ensure alignment with project User Requirements Specifications and interface documents.
- Planning, preparing, and lead test activities, including functional checks, calibration, loop checks, I/O verification, and troubleshooting of sensors, transmitters, and related measurement chains.
- Developing and maintaining test procedures and checklists, ensuring traceability and compliance with applicable standards, practices, and performance requirements.
- Coordinating day-to-day test execution with cross-functional stakeholders (test operations, quality, supply chain) to meet schedule and test readiness milestones.
- Guaranteeing test performance and contributing to key KPIs such as On Time Delivery, test right-first-time, non-conformities reduction, and Cost of Poor Quality, with considerable attention to HSE leading & lagging indicators.
- Diagnosing issues and driving corrective actions, including root-cause analysis, technical containment, and verification of fixes through re-test and evidence collection.
- Supporting continuous improvement through Standard Work and Lean values, proposing simplification, error-proofing, and test process optimization.
- Interfacing with Mechanical Designto ensure correct physical integration of instruments: mounting feasibility, routing constraints, basic bracket/support concepts, accessibility, maintainability, and installation best practices.
- Reviewing and using engineering deliverables (e.g., P&IDs, wiring diagrams, instrumentation lists, loop drawings) to prepare tests, verify configuration, and support testing/project needs.
- Supporting new technology introduction (new instruments, data acquisition, test control & automation, calibration equipment), including installation/start-up and training of users.
- Role modelling in the test/shop environment, reinforcing discipline on procedures, tool control, housekeeping, and safe behaviors to keep people aligned with key rules and requirements.
- Collaborating with customer and internal stakeholders, contributing to technical clarifications and supporting engineering/project needs when test evidence is requested.
