We are now looking for an **Engineering To Order (ETO) Engineer **to join our team in **Bologna, Italy **.

This position is in charge to develop ETO based on the customer requirements: Evaluate the technical requirements; verify the feasibility; define the cost; design the solution; document the solution.
- Participate in project planning activities to define the scope and schedule of the project. Liaise with the Vertiv OPC (Order Processing Center) Team and Sub suppliers.
- Support the Factory Witness Test Team (FWT) to define and review the additional test cases introduced by the ETO

**What kind of work will you be doing?**
- Evaluates independently the customer technical requests, verify the feasibility, design and define the cost of the customized solutions;
- Prepare and submit official quotations in accordance with ETO internal guidelines;
- Create mechanical and electrical drawings, Bill of Material (BOM), specify parts. All following the PLM rules;
- Create submittal drawings for finished design;
- Liaise with sub-suppliers to optimize and select the most competitive solutions;
- Liaise with Application Engineering team to provide technical advice and information;
- Liaise with OPC (Order Processing Center) Team for ETO activities coordination;
- Support to the FWT team (Factory Witness Test) for the additional tests required by the ETO;
- Support prototype building process;
- Develop plans and provide schedule updates;
- Cooperation with the other engineering functions during the definition of the ETO specification;
- Provide good teamwork behavior with the Electrical team as well as other teams to establish productive cross-functional conditions.

**What will make you successful?**
- Excellent planning, organizational, documentation, and communication skills are required;
- Good knowledge on the Mechanical CAD 3D/2D (Creo, Solid Edge, AUTOCAD);
- General mechanical skills assembling and disassembling electrical equipment including but not limited to, high power electronics, large magnetic components, circuit boards, high current wiring etc.;
- Good knowledge of the PLM and processes;
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools;
- Capability of writing professional technical documentation in English;
- Good team working attitude and communication;
- Ability to convert objectives in actions and results;
- Customer oriented and availability to travel;
- Good English language knowledge;
- University degree or technical diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with experience in equivalent areas (e.g. UPS, Power converter industry or low voltage electrical distribution);
- 10% travel.
