**Job Description**:
In this role, you will facilitate and oversee vendor management procedures relevant to vendor identification, assessment, support and performance. You will also establish tools and metrics to assess vendor relations and performance.

**Responsibilities**
- Establish approaches, business processes and procedures relevant to Vendor Management
- Share best practices and lessons learned in vendor management across departments and functions
- Establish tools and metrics to assess vendor performance
- Oversee vendors’ performance, investigate issues and develop solutions to ensure overall vendor performance and quality
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to provide high quality, cost-effective external services
- Evaluate opportunities, business needs and implications of long-term partnership agreements
- Review external vendor quotations in order to perform ongoing analysis of vendor cost
- Develop and implement training programs, in addition to mentoring and coaching your direct team
- Assist in business development tasks, such as vendor shows and the like
- Support business development group to ensure correct and competitive quotes are received from vendors
- Prepare for, attend and follow up on vendor audits, upon request

**Qualifications**:

- Ideally, you will have a degree (or equivalent) qualification
- Experience in the Clinical Research/Pharmaceutical industry is essential
- Demonstrable experience with vendor management and/or in a vendor procurement role
- Experience working with EDC, IRT, eCOA, lab services is beneficial
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Full working proficiency in Italian and English
- Communication and organisational skills
