**Objective of the role**

The **Procurement Sustainability Specialist** will support the Purchasing Projects & New Methodologies and the Category managers in the achieving broader group sustainability targets and act as a key point of reference in the ESG/Sustainability topics in the overall Procurement processes

**Essential Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or equivalent programs.
- 2/3 years of experience in sustainable procurement.
- Proven experience in structured procurement departments, with a thorough understanding of key purchasing processes and IT tools.
- Knowledge of ESG guidelines and regulatory standards, maintaining awareness of validation and process control requirements set by regulatory bodies.

**Desirable Experience**:
Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry is a plus.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; proven ability to develop team members and manage cross-functional teams.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong process and project management skills, organizational skills, and agility to develop flexible approaches to changing conditions.
- Full proficiency in the English language (both oral and written).

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the review and integration of the supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that Recordati's core sustainability values are reflected throughout the lifecycle of their products and services.
- Cooperate with category managers in identifying and defining ESG/Sustainability-related evaluation criteria for tenders.
- Actively participate in the Supplier selection and qualification process to promote the procurement of environmentally preferred products and raw materials.
- Identify and prioritize with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners potential initiatives to be deployed to increase the sustainability of Recordati's purchasing (e.g., plastic reduction, carbon neutrality, etc.).
- Oversee the implementation of launched sustainability initiatives, closely cooperating with other impacted functions within the Group Ind. Ops. structure.
- Define and monitor specific KPIs/metrics to measure the progress of the sustainable sourcing program.
