**He aha te mahi? What's the role?**:
Reporting to the Quality Team Lead Italy, based in Bologna, the Quality Assessor Assistant is an integral part of the European Quality. The primary purpose of this position is to promote industry development of Zespri quality systems, through the development and implementation of audit plans with facilities, based on risk assessments. This is to ensure compliance with the Zespri quality system including product, container, direct delivery, pre-pack and food safety standards.

**This is a fixed-term contract position for a duration of 6 months, starting in September and ending at the end of February.**

Key responsibilities:

- Undertake audits of facilities as per daily plan according to Zespri procedures
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive audit records for each facility, and within specified timeframes.
- Assist on follow up and report on quality issues identified by outturn reports or customer complaints
- Assist in projects outside of base audit plan as required.
- Liaise with other Zespri teams as required.
- Provide assistance to the wider ZGS Italy team as required
- Participate to the weekly quality conference call

You are a detail-oriented and adaptable professional with a background in agriculture or science, and a solid understanding of fruit export requirements.
- Ideally, you bring experience with Mobile QA systems and are familiar with kiwifruit pests and quality standards.
- Your strong command of the English language, good numeracy skills, and intermediate computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) enable you to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- You hold a valid driver’s license and are open to national travel.
