We are looking for a **BIW SET Leader** to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting hierarchically to **Head of BIW Structure & Vehicle Safety** and functionally to the **Coordinator of BIW Lightweight Structure and the Body Project Leader**.

You will be responsible within the BIW Structure & Vehicle Safety Unit for leading the Simultaneous Engineering Team (“SET”, as mentioned in the Role title and following description) of the BIW Structure with the aim to ensure functional, qualitative and homologation targets according to projects’ Milestones and Budget.
- Accountable for components on engineering, quality, costs, compliance duties and deadlines within the technical area from the Financial Approval milestone.
- Accountable for Business Case prep. on possible solutions.
- Responsible for tracking targets for engineering, quality, costs, compliance duties and deadlines or implementing measures to reconcile or adjust in coordination with the Body Project Leader/ Project Manager.
- Accountable for agreements and trade-offs, within your delegation of authority or escalating to Body Project Leader/ CTE in case of deviation outside your delegation of authority or veto by SET member, preparing underlying analyses for decision.
- Responsible for steering and coordinating assigned SE Teams on engineering quality, costs and deadlines.
- Accountable for tracking timing and costs of components, periodically informing the Planner.
- Accountable for managing project budget within your threshold.
- Accountable for components modification within your authority or prepare the documentation for escalation.
- Accountable for the development of BoM and Design/Marketing configurations.
- Responsible for Product Conformity according to the Horizontal Compliance Risk Assessment: Monitor’s Recommendation #15

**About you**
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Vehicle/Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Automotive engineering and development
- Full proficiency in English; German is a plus but not mandatory
- Strategic mindset and forward-looking approach
- Strong people empowerment skills
