Our Consulting Experts are a key priority for Bain & Company, and as such, our Expert Program is at the forefront of guiding our talent strategy as we expand beyond traditional consulting resources. We have been building upon many aspects of the Expert talent lifecycle, and have great demand to deepen the professional development of our Experts, along with creating pathways to success for our practice leaders and partners to deploy our Experts effectively.

The Director, Consulting Expert Program is responsible for leading key strategies and program elements as we continue to grow the Expert Program, and successfully integrate and utilize our Experts, with a specific focus on but not limited to the Expert Senior Manager/ Associate Partner level. The role is responsible for continuously enhancing and operationalizing many aspects of our program strategy in selected Practice areas, including our offer process, successful integration for new Experts and their practices and offices, the staffing and case start-up process, and all components of Expert professional development. This role is critical to keeping our Experts, their affiliated practice or capability areas, the local offices and Global HR Business Partner team engaged in the overall Expert talent management processes and programs and in positioning our Experts for success in their roles.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as a leader on global Expert Program leadership team
- Design and establish an operational management system that enables efficient and effective support for the Experts, including operating processes with the Practices and local offices.
- Act as a regional advisor with the Leadership Recruiting and other Talent Acquisition teams in support of Expert hiring activity.
- Guide offer strategy conversations to help calibrate Experts finalists in the region.
- Serve as primary interviewer for searches, as well as Program Manager lead for all offer discussions and negotiations with offerees.
- Support efforts to attract and win top diverse talent, to strengthen the diversity of our global Expert talent.
- Provide leadership, consultation, and strategic oversight of Consulting Expert Program within selected practice/capability areas. Partner with Practice leadership teams to integrate new Expert hires effectively and support throughout the talent lifecycle.
- Lead efforts to develop and deliver best-in-class programs and processes to support the Expert talent life cycle in selected Practices, including:

- Onboarding: Planning for new hire, building onboarding plan with practice sponsor team
- Integration: Managing initial staffing allocations; engaging in frequent check-ins with Expert, sponsor teams, and case team leadership to manage expectations and provide a continuous feedback loop
- Professional development (PD): Connecting with Experts and getting to know them and their development needs
- Staffing: Engaging with Experts and sponsors to determine allocations, drive utilization, and align opportunities with PD of individuals
- Review & promotion process: Ensure high-quality ongoing, individual case, and semi-annual PD reviews/ feedback; run ratings calibration process; align compensation, promotions, and messaging for each Expert
- Lead daily operations of the Consulting Expert Program for selected Practices reflecting the highest levels of service during talent management processes.
- Improve quality and timeliness of feedback our Experts receive, with an eye on faster success in the role and clear development to retain our talent.
- Partner with the Global HR Business Partner team to provide the highest service level across the Expert talent lifecycle

ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A Master’s degree in business administration preferred
- Direct experience in a Bain consulting role preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of HR/talent management experience for a professional services firm required
- Deep understanding of Bain’s business, framing a problem, developing senior-level communications, strong analytics, and process/projec
