About the role We are looking for an MLC Financial Lines Underwriter who could work with different distribution channels and with a focus on developing the portfolio in a profitable way The responsibilities for this role include: - Responsible for analyzing risk and underwriting all products for Management Liability commercial minor-line - Accountable for underwriting submission up to authority limit for all risk classifications - Reviews new and renewal business submissions, evaluating account performance and risk factors - Documents underwriting files according to established guidelines - Ensures the quality of the underwriting practice and adheres to Best Practices and underwriting policies, guidelines and procedures - Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external business partners - Contribute to maintain high level of quality of the underwriting process (service levels, turn times, error rates, customer experience, and underwriting leakage) - Communicates with producers and clients to ensure common understanding of terms, conditions and ratings, and quotations; and resolves procedural and computational problems of involved, lengthy, multi-location, or difficult risks - Maintains effective producer and client relationships - Prepare accurate booking and policy issuance instructions What we’re looking for: - Preferred Minimum technical underwriting experience with Financial Lines Insurance products - University Degree - Develops underwriting skill and/or specialty knowledge through on-the-job training and/or participation in an organized training program - Good communication & attitude to work in team - Language skills: good level of English, fluent in Italian - Strong execution and results orientation - Strong communication (oral and written) skills and proven ability to work across multiple areas of the organization - Ability to build strong relationships with brokers, clients and colleagues We are an Equal Opportunity Employer It has been and will continue to be the policy of American International Group, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
