**Overview** Base location: Italy The National Sales Manager (NSM) is fully accountable for the sales in the country and as such will work closely with the customer as a key member of its local leadership team to drive compliant sales success in the field in a "new normal" COVID environment, launching a 1st in class product with new mode of action. The NSM will have oversight for all the deployed Sales Managers and the field-based sales team across primary and secondary care. The NSM will work closely with the internal operations team and the client stakeholders to support the design and lead the execution of a new product sales strategy (Field targeting, regional & territory plans, call effectiveness and performance monitoring). **Responsibilities** - Working in a broader matrix ecosystem as part of Syneos Health (SYNH) and the customer's European and Canadian sales team, being part of the client leadership team and steering committee - Ensure the sales team deploy ethical and compliant practices across the country and in line with national laws and requirements - Supporting the initial and ongoing training for the sales managers and deployed sales team - Awareness of the KOLs and influences across the country who can advocate for the customer's product while ensuring they are engaged at the right level with the right messaging - Take responsibility for ensuring information flow and all other deliverables are completed on time (i.e., CRM, field team onboarding, regional training program) and within the budget set - First and second-line sales leadership and line management for the Sales Managers and deployed sales force across the country - Responsible for ensuring the team completed all of the required SOPs and training for SYNH and the customer - Actively participate in regular update meetings with the customer on a country level to ensure delivery of agreed KPIs, operational performance and issue resolution **Job Requirements** - Bachelor's degree - Fulfils legal requirements in the country e.g. (Italy ISF) - Full clean driving license - Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in a sales, marketing and commercial operations capacity - Experience in sales and marketing roles with responsibility for the prescription pharmaceutical business - Comfortable with technology, and use of Veeva CRM for data capture, dashboard and real-time customer intelligence reports - Demonstrable evidence of a leader who strives for a new way of working and a holistic customer journey approach - Ability to travel nationally frequently and internationally on occasion Interviews may be conducted in person at an on-site interview location.
