A Pre-Commercial Development Project Manager & Analyst is responsible for, planning, market analysis and monitoring of key projects that are related to the development of crop protection products and technologies.

**KEY TASKS**:

- Prepare market analysis, business cases, project work plans and associated budgets for review and approval by senior management. Plan and monitor projects that align with Gowan’s strategy and portfolio needs. Ensure that project requirements are clearly understood and that project output meets these requirements.
- Implement and oversee projects, organise work processes and team responsibilities accordingly to the project objectives; develop milestone-based tracking procedures for monitoring and communication progress.
- Clear communication with team members including informing of issues that may delay processes.
- Organise and drive project team activities to meet agreed timelines.
- Align allocated resources with project objective and priorities.
- Ensure the smooth transition of projects to relevant functions when appropriate.
- When required, work with third party cooperators to initiate development projects or perform research as appropriate in coordination with the project specialists
- Directly promote and facilitate communication between other functional groups (e.g. regulatory, marketing, new business development, supply chain, field development, etc.) and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and protection of Gowan's intellectual property strategy.
- Encourage collaboration and open discussion. Act to positively influence the activities of project teams and facilitate the achievement of project goals.

**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**:

- Deliver development projects on time, within budget and within specifications outlined in project objectives.
- Create, maintain and operate development plans and budget.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Working knowledge of the product development process, data collection methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Project management skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and communicate results effectively in reports and presentations.
- Understanding and delivery on the objectives and requirements of key stakeholders.
- Sound judgement in problem solving and decision making.

**PREFERRED SKILLS**:

- Working knowledge and experience with ARM and Marketing Data analytical software etc.

**MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT**:

- BSc or MSc in Agricultural, Business Management or Project Management related fields.

**WORK EXPERIENCE**:

- At least 5 years of experience in research and development, project management or related field in the crop protection industry.

**This position reports to the R&D and Regulatory Manager of Gowan Novara located at the Novara Research Centre in Novara, Italy. 20% Travel Requirement.
