Are you ready to take your underwriting career to new heights? We are seeking a talented and motivated Underwriter to join our dynamic team In this essential role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating both renewal and new business accounts, all while contributing to our growth in the Life Science sector.

At Chubb, we are dedicated to excellence and innovation in the insurance industry. As part of our Life Science division, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of accounts, ranging from growing enterprises to multinational giants. You'll engage with key stakeholders, craft effective underwriting strategies, and help shape the future of our business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Evaluate and Innovate**:Review and assess renewal and new business accounts following established Life Science underwriting guidelines and Corporate Plans.
- **Engage & Educate**:Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with brokers and insureds, providing top-notch service while expertly marketing and servicing existing and new accounts.
- **Drive Growth**:Collaborate with your team to develop and implement a strategic business plan aimed at expanding our Life Science book by identifying new prospects and maximizing cross-sell opportunities, particularly in the Lower Middle Market segment.
- **Team Collaboration**:Work alongside a team of skilled Life Science underwriters, underwriting associates, claims specialists, and sales personnel, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- **Financial Accountability**:Take charge of the financial performance of your book of business, striving for excellence in premium growth, retention, and profitability.
- **Travel Opportunities**:Enjoy the dynamic nature of the role with opportunities for domestic travel as per broker visitation plans, and potentially occasional international trips.

**What We’re Looking For**:
You are passionate about providing exceptional service and have a robust knowledge of commercial underwriting practices. With a background in Casualty insurance, including General Liability and Employer’s Liability, you bring a blend of technical expertise and creativity to the table.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- 3-5 years of underwriting experience in General Liability, with a focus on Product Liability and Employer’s Liability.
- A strategic thinker who adapts to a changing business environment with ease.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, enabling you to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
- A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business or Law.
- Fluent in English, with excellent listening, speaking, and writing capabilities.
