Program Manager, Managed Infrastructure Operations

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical, quantitative/business-oriented field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in compliance, policy, SLA management, managed services, and security operations.
- Experience in helping integrate processes between public Cloud providers, external parties, designing systems, tools, and workflows that help public Cloud providers work with external parties.

Preferred qualifications:

- Google Certifications: Cloud Digital Leader and Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Experience implementing projects in a demanding, change-oriented, and fast-paced environment requiring deadline-driven productivity.
- Experience with best practices in business operations, service operations, customer support operations, and internet/online media.
- Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, deal with ambiguity, and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work with team members to design processes and implement strategic projects that solve business problems.

Now more than ever, organizations are looking to accelerate their cloud adoption. They want easier development, faster innovation, and efficient scale all while simultaneously reducing their technology risk. However, some of their workloads cannot move to the public cloud entirely or right away, due to factors such as industry or region-specific compliance and data sovereignty needs, low latency or local data-processing requirements, or because they need to run close to other services. Enter the Managed Infrastructure Operations Practice.

The Managed Infrastructure Operations is a new organization within Google Cloud’s Cloud Customer Experience (CCE) organization. The purpose of the Managed Infrastructure Operations is to deploy, manage, operate complex customer environments, support our partners who operate environments on our behalf, and extend the capabilities of Google Cloud beyond the boundaries of our own data centers to hosted and edge data centers.

As a Program Manager, you will lead in defining, developing, and operationalizing the Managed Infrastructure Operations. In this role, you will have an opportunity to shape all aspects of this new organization, how we create the organizational structure, drive efficiencies across a global operations team, develop scalable tools and processes, and measure our own impact and success. You will provide business critical insights using analytics, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and help teams drive the internal initiatives needed to be successful. You will be responsible for ensuring that we stay focused on aligning to the highest-level Google Cloud priorities with day-to-day operations through organizational design, long-term planning, and management support.

**Responsibilities**:

- Define, launch, and drive strategic and analytical initiatives to improve internal and external facing processes and operations, working closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Lead cross-functional projects and teams by working with business stakeholders across the organization to develop and manage project trackers, project communication to stakeholders, timelines, lead cross-functional groups to synthesize feedback, and deliver on project objectives.
- Identify gaps and propose changes to existing policy, systems and process frameworks, develop scalable solutions, work to manage risks across the organization, and develop best practices that benefit across the organization.
- Create dashboards, reporting systems, and internal communications aligned to different audience levels especially executive.
- Drive recommendations to executive leadership at all stages of organizational development and execution.
