Enterprise Architect

Being part of SAP’s Presales organization, we are looking for highly motivated and customer-focused team members to strengthen the Enterprise Architect Presales team in Italy Market Unit.

**EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS**

This is a customer facing role where you will support as trusted advisor and solution expert for the extended SAP solution portfolio.

The Enterprise Architect provides a holistic solution view in terms of architecture and roadmap design. Working jointly with the customer, they bridge the gap between the business strategy and technology enablers driving the architecture strategy thus supporting the success of their customer’s Enterprise Initiatives.

**The main responsibilities of an Enterprise Architect are**:

- Connecting the dots across the SAP Portfolio
- Be the trusted advisor to sales and our customers
- Define baseline, transition & target architecture
- Lead customer architecture solution roadmap
- Support Enterprise Architecture Strategy and Governance, Standards, Principles
**Following are the key tasks that this role will perform**:

- Support assessment of current customer solutions from SAP and potential areas of opportunity
- Support development of initial Point of View around customer initiatives
- Support in account planning activities to build the customer vision based on solution scope
- Drive architecture governance and methodologies to ensure the consistency, communication, and cooperation between all domains of architectures
- Engaged throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, be an integral member of the account engagement team
- and Technical Architects where required.
- Provide linkage to SAP product development leadership
- Lead/support the target architecture & customer roadmap development and maintaining alignment with SAP solutions
- Proactively introduces innovation topics to solve specific customer needs
- Build personal customer relationships and support AEs in detailed customer (solution) discovery discussions
- Stays abreast of the SAP portfolio of solutions to formulate a customer roadmap
- Experience with creating and managing enterprise-wide formal frameworks and supporting repositories
- Ability to align and effectively communicate with customer IT and business organizations
**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- High proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required.
- Good understanding of SAP technologies.
- Strong problem solving skills and able to de-escalate problematic situations.
- Experience with non-SAP Platform is a plus.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering critical projects and Proof of Concepts for large customers, Agile delivery experience is a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as, interpersonal skills including collaboration, presentation, facilitation and persuasion.
- Willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice.
- Having practical experience with the most important IT methodological frameworks and tools (especially PMP/Prince2; TOGAF; Archimate; Design Thinking) will be considered as an advantage. TOGAF Certification will be considered a plus.
- Business fluent in English and Italian is a must.

**WORK EXPERIENCE**:

- 5+ years’ experience in Presales, Enterprise Architecture or Consulting (or comparable roles)

**Experience in**:

- Business Consultancy and sales processes.
- Managing customers challenging situation via problem solving attitude.
- Working in international teams.
- SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful but not mandatory.
