We are a growing team looking for a Junior Accountant in the Finance department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Milan office. WHAT YOU WILL DO As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with the Team Lead of Accounts Payable and Treasury to streamline and standardize our financial processes, contributing to the stability of our rapid growth. **IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**: - Prepare monthly group reports in accordance with IFRS, in collaboration with the local Finance Manager; - Lead the month-end closing process, including revenue and cost accruals, intercompany reconciliation, and account reconciliations, in partnership with the sennder HQ team; - Manage daily accounting operations, such as fixed assets, payroll postings, prepaid expenses, VAT, and Withholding Tax, working closely with the AP/AR and Treasury teams; - Ensure full compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements; - Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, as well as financial statements; - Assist with external audit and internal information requests. **PREFERABLY YOU HAVE**: - Direct experience as an external auditor, preferably with a Big 4 or similar firm, and ideally combined with a role as an accountant. - A degree in business studies with a focus on finance or accounting. - Good understanding of accounting and reporting standards, particularly IFRS. - Native-level proficiency in Italian, with strong English language skills. - Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and ERP systems (familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is an advantage).
