Estimation & Benchmark Specialist (W/m)

**How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The selection is aimed at identifying a person capable of covering the function of Estimation & Benchmark Specialist to be included within the Capital Projects Team (CPT) department of Air Liquide SWE Cluster at the Milan or Priolo offices.

The position reports to the Capital Projects Team Manager and requires proven knowledge of the estimation and benchmark discipline.

As part of the South West Europe Industrial Direction, the Capital Projects Team is in charge of the proposal and execution phases of major investments aiming to extend, enhance, renovate the industrial facilities owned and operated by the Air Liquide Group in the South West Europe (SWE) cluster countries.

As a transversal function to all CPT projects, the Estimation & Benchmark Specialist will carry out the following main tasks:

- organize, implement and populate a database dedicated to AL typical business and technologies,
- prepare multi-disciplinary and EPC resources and cost estimates for a variety of small, medium and large projects using appropriate tools and systems,
- performs analysis and validation of estimates using internal and external benchmarking data, component benchmarking and historical indices,
- discuss, coordinate and resolve estimating input/queries with project team and experts available in the organization to ensure quality estimate,
- support project team in identification, evaluation and capture of capital efficiency opportunities and estimate risks,
- ensure all assumptions / clarifications are properly documented and made it available to Project Manager and Business Developer to allow efficient offer and contract reviews,
- study tender documents including drawings, project specifications, scope of work, contract details and conditions,
- implement a tender strategy together with the project manager
- evaluate and suggest the organization and resources required to execute the various estimating activities,
- collect all technical data sheets, specification and drawings to prepare and send enquiries to vendors/subcontractors to get competitive quotation,
- analyze vendors/subcontractors technical and commercial offers,
- follow and contribute to the preparation of comparative tables to analyze and select the most appropriate vendors and subcontractors,
- prepare final estimation report complete of technical qualifications,
- assist the project manager and procurement for post tender commercial negotiations with vendors/subcontractors to reach competitive pricing,
- provide support for any optimization study during project development,
- keeps detailed records and reports of all estimating and benchmarking activities carried out for various projects,
- creates, maintains and updates benchmarking data useful for future projects,
- during the execution phase of the project it reconciles the actual costs with the estimates previously produced as the project develops,
- contributes to the process of estimating lessons learned during the development of the projects.

**Profile**
- minimum 5 years of experience in estimation and benchmark discipline
- degree in process or mechanical engineering
- technical competences in engineering and construction
- knowledge of norms and regulations about process plant engineering and construction works
- fluency in English

**Preferential qualification**
- knowledge of industrial plant codes
- basic knowledge of production processes of industrial gasses
- knowledge of other language such as French or Spanish
