Sexual Assault Response Coordinator

**Duties**:

- The incumbent emphasizes the commitment to maintain a workplace environment that rejects sexual harassment and sexual assault and attitudes that promote such behaviors.
- Manages the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention 1 = Position (SHARP) Program for the Organization.
- Plans, organizes staff, carries out reviews and evaluates a positive management oriented SHARP program that includes efforts to resolve systemic problems.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must successfully complete 80-hour SHARP Course and obtain DOD Certification within 6-months of hire.
- Must successfully complete a 7 week SHARP training course and complete all requirements to obtain DoD Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Individuals will be screened by the through the Crime Records Center and the Army Central Registry for a history of domestic violence.
- Must possess a valid driver?s license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- This position involves duties that are sensitive and confidential in nature.
- The selectee's background will be checked against records maintained by the following prior to appointment and, as appropriate, on a recurring basis while employed in the position.
- Individuals found to have derogatory information in any check may not be eligible for this position and may be removed from further consideration.
- Position is Emergency Essential in support of mobilization and wartime mission. EE employees are required to undergo nuclear-biological and chemical training and to participate in readiness tests, mobilization, alerts, and field training exercises.
- Prior to employment the employee will sign a statement agreeing to the EE condition of employment.
- Employee must pass a medical examination and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployment locations.
- Subject to TDY of 5%

- Prior Federal Service EmployeeTo qualify base on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes: Providing managerial and technical assistance in programs such as equal opportunity, sexual assault prevention and response; Evaluating programs to identify and resolve systematic issues; Directing program activities that emphasize prevention of sexual assault and harassment; Establishing comprehensive policy that reinforces a culture of sexual harassment and sexual assault prevention, response and accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Behavioral Science, Counseling or Social Work. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
