**About this role**:
The Sales Team Lead - Grocery & Retail will specialize in the Grocery sector with a focus on the acquisition of new grocery partners to expand the grocery portfolio. Key responsibilities include acquisition of Major Grocery Chain Accounts, supporting Grocery Strategy, and overseeing the Grocery Dedicated Team. This role is primarily office-based but involves travel up to 50% of the time to lead on-field negotiations and requires managing a team responsible for the acquisition of grocery partners, ensuring service excellence and alignment with growth objectives.

- Drive partner acquisition and market expansion by identifying, targeting, and onboarding high-potential partners.
- Lead negotiations, craft compelling value propositions, and ensure smooth partner integration.
- Develop a data-driven acquisition strategy using market data and trends.
- Provide regular performance and pipeline updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define onboarding processes and ensure efficient launches.
- Lead and coach a team focused on business development and account management.
- Co-own the business development plan and go-to-market approach.
- Acquire Major Grocery Chain Accounts, including field-based negotiations.
- Travel up to 50% of the time for on-field negotiations.
- Manage a team responsible for partner acquisition, ensuring service excellence.
**What will you bring to the table?**:
- Experience in Acquisition or Business Development within startups, FMCG, or tech companies.
- Proven experience in people management.
- Fluent Italian speaker with professional English level skills.
- Proficient analytical skills and Google-suite proficiency (G-sheets, Gmail, etc.).
- Strong leadership and ownership capabilities, with the ability to manage partner relationships proactively and handle ambiguity.
- Ability to manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, setting clear goals, and driving accountability.
- Excellent negotiation skills, focused on long-term relationships and win-win solutions.
