Assistant Financial Controller

**Job Description**:
We are looking for an experienced **Assistant Controller with at least 5 + years of accounting specific qualification (country specific).**

He/She manages a solid team by driving all the accounting operations within the company, responsible for Payroll, Capital Expenditure, GL Reconciliations, and assisting the Controller with the company’s financial affairs.
- Preparation and Review of Departmental P&Ls, quarterly & annual financial statements, and annual budgets.
- Liaise with external advisors on the preparation of statutory financial information, tax computations (**IRES and IRAP as well deferred taxes and VAT**)
- Oversee all tax and financial regulatory compliance issues including the preparation and submission of information to statutory authorities.
- Oversee Payroll, VAT, other taxes including Corporate Income Tax compliance and financial reporting.
- Provide required information/documentation for Internal Control Evaluations and Internal/External Financial Statement Audits.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities and drive initiatives to promote efficient and cost effective operations.
- Participate in decisions regarding financial strategy and business operations execution.
- Provide financial and accounting expertise and support for the regional business operations management teams.
- Participate in the negotiation of contracts (sales and purchases).
- Assist in the preparation and execution of financial policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:
**Skills**:

- Proficient in Windows operating system
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Italian or native speaker
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to financial persons as well as non-financial persons at all levels from Operations to Senior Management to obtain positive results.
- Proven leadership attitude and skills
- Ability to drive and lead through change
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with and attention to the details

**Requirements**:

- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree plus CPA (or equivalent).
- 5 + years of Accounting and Finance experience (prefereably in the Global Logistics Industry).
- ** US GAAP experience (highly desirable) or local GAAP**:

- High level of tax and regulatory knowledge
- Experience in compliance and internal controls
- Must have a valid work permit to work in Italy
