Syensqo has decided to create a startup team, Syensqo.ai, dedicated to the AI and Generative AI domain. By taking this role, the Product Owner will join this team right at its inception. Its mantra is simple: deliver value, with speed and agility while taking no compromise on compliance, ethics, guardrails or regulations. The Product Owner will contribute to the growth and development of this startup, while keeping a very sharp focus towards the delivery of prioritized items. In the current business, macroeconomic and climate crisis context, time of execution will be of the essence.
SyGROW is our flagship AI-powered engine, designed to revolutionize commercial strategy by empowering our teams with actionable insights, opportunity generation, and customer engagement tools. As we accelerate our journey to become an AI-driven commercial organization, SyGROW is at the heart of this transformation.
You will join the SyGROW team as one of two Product Owners, each responsible for owning and delivering a distinct part of the SyGROW platform. In this role, you will co-lead the development and evolution of the SyGROW Engine, working in close partnership with your fellow Product Owner to ensure seamless integration and maximum value for our commercial teams. Operating at the intersection of business, technology, and data, you will translate commercial growth ambitions into a robust, user-centric AI platform. Reporting to the Change Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Syensqo’s commercial operations through shared ownership, effective collaboration, and a unified product vision.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Backlog Ownership & Prioritization: Co-own, refine, and prioritize the SyGROW product backlog in close collaboration with the other SyGROW Product Owner. Ensure all items are clear, actionable, and aligned with the product vision set by the Product Manager. Jointly lead backlog grooming and oversee Agile governance to balance immediate needs with long-term objectives, ensuring seamless coordination across shared and distinct areas of responsibility;
- Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Translation: Act as the primary contact for commercial, technical, and business teams. Gather, clarify, and translate user needs into detailed requirements and user stories, ensuring the backlog reflects real business challenges and opportunities;
- Feature Delivery & Quality Assurance: Define acceptance criteria, validate deliverables, and ensure features meet business needs and quality standards before release. Own the “definition of done” for all backlog items;
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure alignment with the overall product vision and strategy. Collaborate with AI architects, tech leads, Business teams and data teams to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and sustainability of features;
- Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:Track and report on feature adoption, user satisfaction, and business impact using defined KPIs and OKRs. Use insights to reprioritize the backlog and drive continuous product improvement;
- Market & Technology Awareness:Stay current with AI and digital trends relevant to commercial growth, ensuring SyGROW remains innovative and competitive;
- Change Management & User Adoption: Partner with change managers to support user training, communication, and adoption activities, ensuring new features are effectively introduced and embraced by commercial teams;
- Value Delivery: Direct all development activities to maximize business value and enhance user experience within the commercial ecosystem;
Agile Team Leadership: Facilitate effective communication and coordination within the Agile team, ensuring clarity on priorities and progress. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily scrums, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).
**Key Stakeholder Interactions**:
- Commercial Teams: Act as the main interface with commercial users to deeply understand their day-to-day challenges, gather detailed requirements, and collect feedback on delivered features. Ensure their needs are accurately reflected in the product backlog;
