Contract Manager

**Posizione**:
The Contract Manager mission will be to support the Legal team during the development and execution of the projects. The person will be the key interface for all commercial, contractual and financial aspects of the contracts during their execution. The person will get the opportunity to work in a high-profile environment and join an international and dynamic team used to working under pressure and collaborating to reach key deadlines and goals. This role requires an individual with personal confidence, legal acumen and business savvy to operate in a highly regulated industry.

The roles and responsibilities of the Contract Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

- Interface with all internal departments to ensure compliance with contract’s obligations, company policies and applicable laws;
- Proactively develop and share adequate contract management strategies (incl. identification and resolution of main contractual issues, claims and disputes in accordance with contractual provisions, action plan definition, providing contractual clarification / position to project’s team members);
- Ensure monitoring and reporting on the project’s commercial risks and support identification of opportunities and risk mitigation strategies to ensure key project milestones are achieved;
- Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverable, invoicing etc.);
- Ensure timely contract closeout, extension or renewal (incl. issuance or return of bonds or securities);
- Initiate, draft and/or review, as the case may be, all incoming and outgoing correspondence with clients, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
- Keep contractual records and documentations updated (including contract correspondence, contractual changes, status reports and other documents);
- Negotiate contract amendments, variation orders and settlement agreements;
- Coordinate with the Legal Team in case of judicial disputes;
- Support other functions in the negotiation of contracts with clients, partners, subcontractors and suppliers;
- Set-up and continuously improve NHOA processes and standards;
- Manage external consultants.

**Requisiti**:
The Contract Manager must have a Law degree and at least 5 years of experience as contract manager or legal counsel in a legal department of an energy or industrial company.

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in English and Italian, other languages such as Spanish, French or Chinese will be a distinct advantage;
- Proven track record in the following areas: contract management, claims management for engineering/construction projects, dispute resolution, contract negotiation, risk assessment, insurance claims, negotiation of bank/insurance bonds;
- Experience in negotiating or managing contracts in UK, Australia, or any other common law jurisdiction would be a distinct advantage;
- Familiarity with large sized EPC projects and standard forms of construction contracts;
- Appetency for technical matters and the renewable energy sector;
- Ability to find workable solutions to complicate legal and technical questions;
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a direct and concise communication style;
- Ability to prioritize and maintain output under pressure;
- Gravitas and credibility to gain the confidence of executives inside and outside NHOA.

Availability to travel (2-3 times per year).
