**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**

British American Tobacco Italy is looking for a passionate, highly motivated Legal Intern with a positive and can-do attitude, to join our department, Legal & External Affairs based in Rome.

**Reports to: Legal & External Affairs**

**JOB PURPOSE**

This internship is in our Legal and External Affairs Team (LEX) is a great opportunity to learn and get fully involved in a multi-cultural, open environment.

As an intern in our department, you will have the opportunity to work on strategic topics as well as operational tasks right from the beginning and be part of a dynamic team contributing to the business results.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Assisting with general administrative matters;
- Assisting with maintenance of documentation, spreadsheets and legal databases;
- Report generation, document collation;
- Assisting in-house lawyers with contract preparation, negotiation and arrangements for execution across all business areas;
- Legal research;
- Liaising with external counsels;
- Assisting with various legal projects as required;
- The review and creation of legal documents;
- Preparing statutory and corporate filings.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Strong academic studies in law or in possession of a law degree;
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Initiative and problem-solving skills;
- Attention to details;
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of LEX documents and other information;
- A commitment to the aims and values of BAT;
- Proficiency in MS Office;
- Fluency in Italian and English language.

Desirable requirements:

- Minimum experience in Legal.
