Service Technician

**About the job**

Do you enjoy learning new things, as well as communicating with colleagues and clients? At RHI Magnesita, we're looking for a Service Technician for our site in Italy. In this key position, you will report directly to the Head of Service Technicians Pool and supervise all stages of the installation of refractory products and solutions on our customers' sites. You will be responsible for installing and using RHI Magnesita's products in accordance with the company's instructions and technical standards. You will monitor the quality, quantity and performance of the products delivered. In addition, you will act as a technical intermediary between the bricklayers, floor operators, site technicians, the sales department, the production manager, the machinery department, and external parties (third parties). This position will require travelling in Italy and, occasionally, abroad.

**In addition, your tasks will include**:

- Supervision of installation of refractory products
- Monitoring use of RHI Magnesita services and products on site
- Inventory management
- Helping and possibly troubleshooting/maintenance for RHI Magnesita-supplied materials and equipment
- Investigating defects by producing reports, photos, samples, and drawings

**What we expect from you in terms of**

**Education & Skills**
- Basic technical training and technical affinity
- Ideally knowledge of the steel industry (experience in a steel mill would be an advantage)
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

**Languages**
- Good command of English

**Work Experience**
- A couple of years of relevant professional experience in a technical role
