**Walks Inside Rome** is a tour operator with over two decades of experience offering unique and unforgettable experiences with a focus on Rome, as well as Florence, Venice, and the Amalfi.

We seek a passionate, energetic, and experienced **bookings and operations officer** with a **deep knowledge of OTAs **(Online Travel Agencies) for a full-time position working at our office in the centre of Rome.

**What will your daily responsibilities be?**
- Managing bookings via OTAs (Viator, Tripadvisor Expedia, FareHarbor), specifically opening and closing availabilities and ensuring tours are kept up-to-date.
- Promoting tours via keywords and responding to client reviews via our OTAs.
- Corresponding with agents and clients in the management of bookings.
- Responding to specific requests and tailoring tours and itineraries accordingly.
- Liaising with guides, drivers, and other personnel in the organization of tours and services.
- Leading the response to any major disruption including creating alternative itineraries, defining alternative options for clients.
- Data entry (loading availability and updating product and making changes to our in-house booking platform).
- Deep knowledge of OTAs (Viator, Tripadvisor, Expedia, and FareHarbor)
- Fluency in English and Italian. Another language would be advantageous.
- Experience in bookings and destination management
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft / Google Drive suite
- Experience of booking platforms (training will be provided upon commencement).
- Strong listening, relationship building, communication (both spoken and written), and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and negotiating skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Well-organized with good time management skills.
- Positive “can do” attitude with a passion for travel and tourism.

*Please note that it is **crucial **you have previous experience in OTA bookings/back office-related role(s) to be considered for this position.

- OTA Experience: 3 years (preferred)
