Analyst Corporate Venture Capital

We are looking for an Analyst with previous experience in the Venture Capital industry as an Investor or Operator to expand our team.

As an Analyst, you will oversee - jointly with the rest of the team - all the venture deals of the Sella Group, including Banca Sella and Fabrick’s investments. You will have the chance to manage the complexities of executing an investment throughout all the stages of the process, from deal sourcing to portfolio management.

Main responsibilities:
- Scouting, evaluation, structuring, and execution of VC/CVC transactions for the Group.- Analyze industry trends, monitor market developments, and define investment themes and theses.- Interact with senior leaders on business strategy and product roadmap and summarize investment priorities and areas of focus.- Engagement in all aspects of due diligence on new investments (business analysis, industry thesis, competitive landscape, business or pricing model, and financial modeling or deal structuring, etc.).- Consult with open innovation specialists within each business line of the Group for leveraging industrial synergies with CVC investments.- Report periodically on the performance of the VC/CVC portfolio to the Investment Committee.- Nurture the Sella ecosystem and VC network by participating in startups and VC events, networking activities, and proactively building up your network, also seeking new investment opportunities for the Group while reinforcing Sella’s positioning.

Key requirements- 6-12 months of work experience in a high-paced and dynamic environment, such as venture capital, startup, scaleup, or strategy consultancy. Exposure to the Fintech sector will be considered a plus.- Proficiency in English - ideally improved through an educational/working experience abroad - and Italian is a must.- Knowledge of VC dynamics.-
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) with the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise reports.- Exceptional knowledge of MS Office Suite.- A people person who is able to connect and interact with a wide range of personalities.- Excited by the latest innovations and enthusiastic about technology.- Strong structuring and analytical skills (e.g., tech-analysis and getting under the hood of businesses in your previous roles) with a background in technology being a plus.- Someone with a strong work ethic, passion for technology, startups, and who is an initiative-taker and highly organized.
