Health and Safety Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

He/she is responsible for the implementation of the «construction & operation» H&S program locally with all relevant stakeholders, in particular the «construction» & «operation» teams, to develop a real H&S culture, to meet the group’s H&S objectives in compliance with all applicable regulations and within the framework of a continuous improvement process.

He/she works closely with the H&S «construction» & «operations» Managers in France who have a cross-functional role in deploying the H&S «construction» & «operations» programs and developing a common H&S culture in the countries where the group operates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Governance:

- Work closely with the H&S «construction» & «operation» Managers in France to implement the group H&S «construction» & «operation» programs, policies, best practices, etc.
- Implement and manage the organization defined by the group (H&S committee, meetings, processes, KPIs, etc.) to deploy the «construction» & «operation» H&S programs by involving and coordinating all the stakeholders involved: Data4 employees and in particular the «construction» & «operation» teams, prime contractor, H&S contractor, service providers, etc.
- Define the missions of the «construction» H&S contractor: audits, H&S briefings, etc. (in relation with the «construction» team, which manages the related budget), then supervise and control its proper execution.
- Report to the Head of QHSE & Sustainable Development on the implementation of the H&S program and alert him, if necessary, to any difficulties encountered in order to define together the solutions to be implemented.

Field:

- Lead the implementation of H&S awareness actions.
- Ensure the completion of risk analyses related to High-Risk Activities (HRA) and the integration of related preventive measures in the MOPs, etc. by all relevant stakeholders.
- Carry out «construction» & «operation» H&S audits.
- Assign green/yellow/red cards if necessary.
- Lead the formalization and implementation of all H&S action plans.
- Carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for work-related accidents, near misses, etc.
- Formalize H&S procedures, instructions, posters, etc.
- Lead the execution of evacuation drills.

Administrative:

- Participate in H&S regulatory monitoring and ensure compliance with all H&S regulatory requirements.
- Update regulatory or specific IMS documents: Prevention Plans, OHS (risk analysis and identification of preventive actions), etc.
- Participate in the proper maintenance and deployment of the IMS in all countries where the group operates following ISO 45001 standard.
- Manage the H&S dashboards and KPIs (creation, maintenance, etc.).
- Manage the H&S database to ensure the proper organization, availability, relevance all necessary H&S documents.
- Propose H&S training actions as well as the appropriate PPE for the identified risks for Data4 employees.
- Participate in the improvement of H&S tools.
- Participate in the preparation of OPEX and CAPEX files necessary for the implementation of H&S action plans.
- Participate in reviews and construction of the annual H&S budget.
- Be the H&S liaison with the labor inspectorate, etc.
- Be the H&S referent «representing and defending» Data4’s positions in front of clients and service providers.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
1. Education and experience
- Master’s Degree (in a safety-related field preferred)
- H&S training

2. Technical skills
- 10+ years’ experience in managing an H&S approach on a site where various technical activities related to the management of industrial buildings with coactivity between several companies take place, ideally in the data center industry.
- Ability to identify, understand and implement the requirements of the labor code and the recommendations of external organizations for H&S components.
- Knowledge and practice of H&S audits.
- Knowledge and practice of analysis and continuous improvement tools: FMEA, 5M, cause trees, PDCA, etc.
- Participation in projects and knowledge of the related methodology.
- Knowledge and practice of the ISO 45001 standard.
- Supervision of service providers.
- Fluent English
