Our software enables energy providers to set up energy communities and smart energy tariffs in their distribution areas. **Your role**:
As a UX designer at exnaton, you will join our 30 people team and shape the company and its vision from the ground up. You will play a pivotal role in designing intuitive dashboards and scalable web components. You will collaborate closely with a Senior UX Designer and cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and Customer Success, to create user-centric solutions that balance business goals and user needs.

Therefore, we are seeking an addition to our team who will support us in the following areas:

- Dashboard Design: Creating user-friendly, data-driven dashboards for white-label products, ensuring information is clear, actionable, and visually engaging;
- Web Component Design: Developing modular, reusable web components that align with design system guidelines and support customization for various clients;
- Design Systems: Contributing to and maintaining exnaton's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products;
- User Research & Testing: Collaborating with the Senior UX Designer to gather insights through user research, usability testing, and feedback loops, iterating designs based on findings. You will be responsible for conducting interviews and usability testing in German;
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working alongside product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business requirements and technical constraints;
- Prototyping & Wireframing: Producing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas clearly;
- Accessibility & Usability: Ensuring all designs adhere to best practices in accessibility, creating inclusive experiences for diverse users.

**Your qualifications**:

- Has 2-5 years of hands-on experience in UX design with a strong portfolio that clearly demonstrates user-centered design thinking, end-to-end design process, and rationales behind design decisions;
- Is proficient in Figma with a solid understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards;
- Is able to interpret user research and usability testing data to inform and iterate on design solutions effectively;
- Is fluent in English and German (German fluency is essential for conducting user interviews and usability testing with German-speaking customers);
- Is a team player with a growth mindset, quick to adapt, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment;
- Has strong communication abilities with the confidence to articulate design decisions clearly and advocate for user needs across teams.

We would consider it as a big plus if you bring enthusiasm for digitalisation, sustainability, renewable energy, or energy systems.
