Biotechnologist

IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Biotechnologist to join the Drug Screening Technologies laboratory in the Experimental Imaging Center of San Raffaele Hospital. By taking advantage from our competences in, neurophysiology, pharmacology and microscopy, we develop leading-edge solutions for small and medium-scale drug screening programs. Our current field of interest is the screening of molecules, active on ion channels, as a drug treatment for Glioblastoma. We are also focused on the development of innovative nanovectors for the drug delivery in the brain.

**Main actvities**:
Human Cancer Stem Cells culture;
Cell growth and cell cycle studies;
Drug screening based on phenotypic assays;
Molecular biology approaches to downregulate gene expression;
In vivo studies of drug efficacy on glioblastoma.

**Who we are looking for**:
Competences in cell biology;
Competences in basic molecular biology;
Competences in cell cultures;
Competences in basic microscopy.
