We are currently looking for a **Medical Excellence Manager Oncology** to play a leading role in our Oncology Medical Affairs Dept.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES**

Reporting to the Oncology Medical Affairs Head, the Medical Excellence Manager Oncology works to develop Oncology Medical Team skills, in accordance to the needs and goals of the TA.

The Medical Excellence Manager Oncology helps to adopt quality and compliance standards, policies and procedures.

The Medical Excellence Manager Oncology collaborates to strengthen the processes and the relationships between the Oncology Medical Team and the KEEs and ensure the interaction between the Local Medical Affairs and the Global Team.
**MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The role broadly includes the following key components:

- Ensure Oncology Medical Team Excellence by:

- Delivering development programmes in order to support the Team to achieve high performance and recognition as credible players in the Scientific Community
- Following project work plans and recommending revisions as appropriate to meet changing development needs within the Team in line with the Medical Plan
- Supporting the development of the Team capabilities:

- Capabilities for scientific exchange
- Customer insight collection and dissemination
- Strategic relationships with medical and scientific experts
- Maintains qualitative and quantitative metrics that include standard AZ MSL core requirements, including required certifications.
- In collaboration with the Oncology Medical Affairs Head and Global Medical Excellence, proposes, elaborates and manages Medical Excellence projects such as Medical Plan management, simplification
- Act as contact point with Global Team regarding the Medical Affairs Activities
- Manage the Medical Excellence Budget
- In collaboration with MSL Managers, support the activities of MSLs by:

- Coordinating, monitoring and supporting MSL activities for example by producing, validating and sharing materials to be used by MSLs
- Defining and implementing learning tools for MSLs
- Manages and strengthen the activities of the Oncology Medical Team with the KEEs
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration amongst the team
- Effectively applies AZ methodology and enforces project standards
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Ensures the consistent implementation of AZ standards and the sharing of best practice
- Ensure the onboarding of the new joiners to the Oncology Medical Team
- Manage all activities and Account relationship according with Company Values, Code of Conduct, Guidelines/Internal procedures and Italian legislation.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
**Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Scientific Degree
- Experience related to the oncology TA within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably as a MSL Manager or high performing MSL or high performing experience within Medical Affairs
- Fundamental knowledge of basic research, drug discovery, drug development, clinical environment
- Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements related to medical affairs activities
- Experience in product launch preparation and execution
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Project management experience
- Extensive experience in relationship and stakeholder management experience
- Proficiency in spoken English

**DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Medical Degree
- Qualified Doctor in the relevant TA
- PhD in the relevant TA
- Experience in clinical trials
