**Sales Director - Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Travel across South Europe territory as required
- Create and execute strategic plans to reach sales targets and expand customer base
- You'll be responsible for selling our solutions into major retailers across the region achieving/exceeding the sales target for the fiscal year via annual subscription to our solutions.
- Understand, learn and deliver our proposition. Effectively communicate the value proposition, through proposals and presentations and elevate Retail Insight as the category leader in solutions for retail operations.
- Understand category specific landscapes and trends
- Maintain an effective sales team by recruiting, onboarding and training employees. This will include monitoring and appraising the performance of the team.
- As in all sales roles, achieving the target is the primary objective. However, we expect that all contracts fall into the ‘good business’ category. This means having clear expectations on what will be delivered. Our goal is to lay the foundation for future growth within the account having established an initial relationship.
- You will work with the business development, marketing team and with our advisors to build pipeline. You would play a role in setting priorities and providing opinions and content for the accounts in your territory.
- Maximise networking, marketing opportunities with potential clients and attend major industry events and conferences.
- Provide accurate reporting on sales forecasts and activities in the territory.

**The Person - Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Essential to have experience at a B2B technology provider either software or hardware technology for stores.
- Proven sales executive experience in meeting and exceeding targets
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience in a business development role providing solutions to the retail or CPG sector is required with a strong understanding of the Food, Drug, & Mass sectors.
- Experience implementing solutions into Retailers would be valuable
- Able to understand complex issues and distil them into solutions. That person is business savvy and understands how to use technology to solve the business challenges facing brands. Building business cases is an important part of the role.
- Smart and creative about sales opportunities. The ability to analyze opportunities, set strategies and execute to win good business is essential.
- Build and develop strong relationships with prospective clients.
