Principle Sustainability Consultant

For our Client, an important multinational in the energy sector, we are looking for a brilliant:
***PRINCIPLE SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT**

The Sustainability Consultant will engage the Customers around sustainability with a specific focus on decarbonization. The Sustainability Consultant will support the Customers in developing a decarbonization strategy and facilitate the execution of such strategy leveraging all of company capabilities.

***Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the Italian Net Zero Center of Excellence
- Lead the sustainability engagements with selected Customers in Italy and Europe
- Support the Customers in the development of a decarbonization strategy and roadmap in line with their organizational targets
- Enable companies in development and maintenance of their emissions inventory and science-based targeting and net zero plans
- Analysis and quantification of organizational and product carbon footprints in line with ISO 14064-1/67 and GHG Protocol standards
- Support for the development of GHG emission reduction targets in accordance with Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and Science Based Target initiative (SBTi)
- Analysis and quantification of product impacts through LCA Life Cycle Assessment and EPD Environmental Product Declaration methodology
- Sustainability reporting through GRI, SASB or other standards;
- Provide project management and oversight on the Customers’ decarbonization projects
- Help the execution of the individual decarbonization strategy leveraging the company capabilities: PPA advisory and procurement, energy efficiency solutions, sourcing of energy attributes and carbon offsets, distributed energy solutions, storage solutions, fleet electrification etc.
- Support the Customers to implement Scope 3 emissions tracking and measurement solutions, including engagement along their supply chain
- Work with the company global Net-Zero Practice to research, curate and communicate within the company emerging information on global and local trends related to carbon and sustainability reporting and targeting standards (such as SBTi), including carbon legislation, renewable and efficiency incentives, and reporting programs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regional regulatory entities and partners to strengthen the company Net Zero offering
- Develop and deliver thought leaderships webinars on the topic of decarbonization
- Commercial awareness to identify new business opportunities whilst working closely with business development teams both pre and post-sale to ensure success
- Attend skills training to meet skills requirements and maintain certifications where relevant
- Coordinate among the team members of the Centre of Excellence for Net-Zero advisory solutions in Italy and the Sales team to effectively create value for the customers in the most efficient way
- Performing other duties, such as presales, as required

***Skills**:

- Minimum of B.A.or B.S. required. Masters degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of consulting experience
- At least 5 years of experience in energy, sustainability or decarbonization advisory
- Deep knowledge of emission reporting schemes (voluntary, compliance; scope 1, scope 2, scope 3 and ISO 14064-1, ISO 14067 and GHG Protocol
- Knowledge of LCA Life Cycle Assessment and EPD Environmental Product Declaration methodology; of environmental sustainability issues and circular economy with particular reference to SBTi and CDP; of technological solutions related to the energy world (e.g. Energy Audit, White Certificates, PPA, ETS, Energy Management, HVAC revamping, DSR, PV, CHP)
- Understanding about renewable energy markets and products in Italy
- Experience in working with data and analysis
- Project management experience and strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop strong customer relationships
- High proficiency in English language
