We are looking for a Quality Control Specialist to join our Electrification business. You will assist the local ABB unit in developing the necessary capabilities to control products and systems to meet the internal, customer and industry requirements, in a cost effective and safe working environment Participate in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only conform products, software's and services are released to the customer.

**This position reports to**:
Warehouse/Internal Logistics Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Implement and ensure that safety systems are in place, known and utilized by assigned personnel resulting in an accident-free workplace.
- Ensure the quality control for the incoming materials and components and develop supplier qualification process to enable the reaching of high quality standards. Perform regular vendor evaluations.
- Ensure the quality control of the manufacturing processes according to international standards and internal procedures. Ensure that the local organization has the necessary hardware and software capability to assure products and systems meet specified requirements and customer expectations.
- Act timely as coordinator in customer complaints to analyze root cause and take corrective and preventive actions.
- During the development phase, collaborate with R&D in product reliability and design for manufacturing. Collaborate with engineering staff to develop test protocols as necessary to investigate the integrity of new products or new functionality for existing products. Define and ensure that tests (according with standards, customer oriented, zero tolerance and field tests) are performed before gate 5.
- Design, develop and implement an effective Opportunity of Performing Quality (OPQ) measurement process that quantifies the scope of wastes and inefficiencies in the business, prioritizes areas for improvement, identifies improvement actions and focuses on causes and corrective actions to reduce OPQ. Focus on achievement of Project On-Time and On-Cost, OPQ cost reduction, CCRP% ROT (resolved on time), PPM, NPS and HSE.
- Oversee weekly and monthly quality reports and improvement activities. Monitor and review progress and suggest correction in order to meet the key performance indicator targets.
- Ensure that the unit is aligned with the Management Quality System.

**Your background**:

- An Engineering Degree: mechanical or electrical fields.
- 0-2 years of progressive experience in manufacturing environments. Experience with direct contact with customers about quality matters is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to read and interpret technical drawings and models.
- Fluent English language.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Driving license type B. Availability for short trips abroad and on the national territory.
- Strong leadership skills. Excellent coordination skills is a plus.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills. Initiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detail.
