Safety Manager

**Your challenge as our new Safety Manager**:
The core focus of the Safety Manager is to coordinate the safety activities for our plant in Porto Corsini, looking for legislation and internal procedures attendance. This plant is a soybean crushing facility, with Port, Refineries, Bottling and Biodiesel facilities.

As Safety Manager you will be responsible for the improvements on the safety culture within all layers of the organization, in alignment to the Bunge policies. You drive the process of improving the level of Safety Culture at the facility to reach and sustain a zero accident level.

Followed by coaching local leaders and conducting regular safety inspections on the site and assessing the needs. A large part of the time you are outside of the office, talking to the people, conducting audits, providing vital trainings and working together to improve safety behavior. With your knowledge and expertise, you are able to follow on the GRC inspections to assure compliance.

You are also responsible for local audits and actively participate in the safety planning. This role grants room to use your creativity to implement safety innovations. Safety is a crucial part of our daily work and Bunge takes safety very seriously. Taking that into account, we are looking for a safety advocate with a passion for safety.

You will report directly to the Plant Manager and will directly manage a Safety Specialist yourself.

**What do we expect from our Safety Manager?**

You are a positive and structured person with great influencing skills. Even more, you can find a solution to every problem. Building sustainable business relationships is second nature. Furthermore, you are a proactive and a natural teammate. We will support you in your development, but to be successful in this role we would expect:

- Educational background in Engineering or Safety;
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an industrial environment (FMCG, production or chemical)
- Good knowledge on Italian law and legislations
- Proficiency in Italian and English is a must
- Ideally familiarity with ISO and Sustainability systems;
- Coaching and people leadership skills;
- Residing in the Porto Corsini region and/or willing to move there;
