Reports locally to the Operations Director
- Accountable for all the aspects related to the packaging. Accountable for P&L performance providing reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly & ad hoc basis with commentary outlining reasons for variance in data. Drives a disciplined focus on daily costs and Profit and Loss metrics throughout the plant.
- Validates the manpower plans for all operations balancing productivity, outside processing sources, and machining and manpower capacity to determine optimal manpower requirements. Establishes the team based work culture and the effectiveness of cooperation and collaboration needed to staff and maintain the performance levels and synergy for optimal results.
- Developes, analyzes, implements, and maintains budgets for all costs for operations, Assists in driving the necessary pipelines to reduce major costs for energy, material/procurement, and productivity improvement. Participates in determining the necessary capital expenditures to support efficiency, capacity, and growth activities for improvement.
- Responsible for meeting customers requirements ensuring that labor, equipment and materials, are utilized in a cost effective manner to meet the agreed on time delivery requirements.
- Accountable for the global production monthly target achievement.
- Responsible for maintaining a system of key performance indicators (KPIs) to be used as basis for continuous process improvement (KPIs include: OTD; throughput; PCT; WIP; backlog; % of right first time; yield and scraps; reworks; stocks out; € shipped) to meet site and corporate goals.
- Responsible for executing Lean Strategies to improve Quality, Productivity, Cost and Cycle Reduction Objectives, working directly with Site Continuous Improvement Leader.
- Responsible for constantly driving and delivering high standards of safety, discipline, GMP and general housekeeping and for maintaining working knowledge of GMP policies and regulations governing the business, liaising with support groups to ensure adherence to the site or corporate procedure and policies.
- Support all the relevant audits (internal & external including those performed by the regulatory agencies) so that high standards and results are maintained.
- Accountable together with HR to identify training needs and related deployment of the supervisory staff (deliver talent agenda).
- Solid contributor & sponsor in all EHS matters
Education Qualification
- Educational background: Bachelor Engineering or Science or Industrial Chemistry and desired M.B.A.
- Previous experience in an Operations function, Production Management, Over 8 years of experience in supervisory and management roles preferably in more than one department.
- Prior budget and P&L responsibility and solid knowledge of financial parameters governing goals.
- Good experience in negotiations. Extensive understanding of products, processes, procedures similar to the business model.
- Experience in planning and execution of contracts and major projects.
- Proven leader in driving change towards lean work cultures using tools such as six sigma or similar process improvement techniques.
- Able to facilitate diverse work groups towards common goals and create an environment based on teamwork and trust.
- Able to direct the activities of a multi-functional production team as measured by Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Inventory Management and EBIT performance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities Demonstrated project/team management capabilities that can meet aggressive deadlines.
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office software.
- Fluent English. contributor & sponsor in all EHS matters
