Purchasing Assistant

**Coperion is expanding its global footprint by establishing a new team in Ferrara, Italy.**
We have already onboarded some team members, but we are still looking for additional talent to join us
This team will support key procurement operations for our German-speaking sites in Germany and Switzerland.

We are now hiring in Ferrara:
**Purchasing Assistant**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For our German-speaking _Coperion _locations, assist in **purchasing**machinery components and materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Assist with tenders, price comparisons and order processing.
- Support price negotiations and contract finalizations within defined categories.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, tracking their progress to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier details, and order history.
- Support the procurement team with administrative tasks, reporting, and data management.
- Communicate and coordinate with relevant departments including Quality Assurance, Logistics, Planning, Accounting and Production.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Fluent German skills (spoken and written) are mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or sales.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems (Navision, SAP, or IFS) is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills and keen attention to detail.

One-year contract.
