**Profile**
- The Role:
We are looking for a Development Associate who will focus on the Italian solar market and will contribute to building out and leading our growth to develop utility-scale solar power and energy-storage projects. The position will work closely with the Company’s cross functional teams and report to the Development Manager.
This role will focus on supporting the management and execution of a sizable portfolio of development projects via joint-development agreements with regional project developers.
The role involves all aspects of greenfield development, with a particular focus on: project management (permitting, land, grid) all way to Ready to Build; support for construction handover to the Engineering&Construction team; managing relationship with joint-development agreement, partners through weekly coordination calls, daily supervision and sign-off of relevant development activities; support for Project Finance and Power Marketing in securing financing and offtake agreements for the project pipeline; maintaining up to date information and reporting for the projects, using the company project management tool to report to senior staff and other functions and actively monitor policy changes that may affect permitting and connection processes, evaluating impact on current and prospective pipeline.
Desirable skills:

- At least 3 years’ experience in the solar industry in business and project development (ideally Italian national experience), in particular project development from greenfield to shovel-ready;
- Clear understanding of Italy land site control matters, permitting processes both at national and regional level, and interconnection procedures and regulations
- Experience in managing key stakeholders involved in the development process (landlords, permitting agencies, DSOs/TSO, local development partners)
- Excellent written and spoken English and Italian
- Understanding of power markets regulation and new revenue models (e.g. capacity markets, storage) is a plus
