Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain. The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.

Trade Compliance Manager - Italy

**Responsibilities and tasks**

**In cooperation with the Country General Counsel and the National Trade Compliance Officer **, he/she shall be responsible for:

- **Laws & regulations expertise**:provide proven expertise on local & foreign export control laws & regulations, sanctions, embargoes, restrictive measures & soft laws.
- **Synthesis & reporting (external & internal). **Record accurate data on licenses and controls to anticipate and prepare internal and external reporting, including KPIs.
- **Business partner. **Act as a reliable internal partner to support business & Management for Trade Compliance issues and relevant analysis, by assessing the exportability of the proposed solution and anticipating any trade compliance issue, during the bid phase, while managing all TC aspects during the projects’ implementation. Secure in his / her scope trade compliance effectiveness with related records keeping according to internal processes and policies.
- **TC risks assessment **provide analysis and recommendations to the management to support Trade Compliance position
- **Policies & processes implementation **. Support managers in the implementation of policies & guidance, restrictive measures and screening policies, guidance and directives. Liaise with supervisory authorities and professional organizations on regulatory matters and provides Corporate Trade Compliance with all information on laws and regulations in the Country
- Contribute to audits with accurate records, report suspected incidents and breaches to Managers.
- **Restricted Party Screenings**:Perform recurring and systematic checks with relevant analysis and escalation when required. Responsible for the traceability (recording) of the screening operations.
- **Classification (product, solution, service). **advise and support the business on products’ classifications, secure traceability of classifications in time and related record keeping. Support the business on license determination and approval.
- **Customs management. **advise and support the business on classifications, execute and secure traceability of operations in line with export controls and related record keeping.
- **Record Keeping**: Ensure appropriate reporting and record keeping in accordance with law requirements and with Thales rules;

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of Export Control regulations and procedures (Italian, UE, US, etc.) both for military and dual use goods
- Capacity to analyze the project/product constraints in terms of exportability;
- Ability to perform and assess outcomes of due diligences and restricted party screenings;
- Knowledge of the IT tools needed to perform the analysis of exportability;
- Knowledge of the main contract clauses and of INCOTERMs and the consequent impact in terms of liability from an export control standpoint
- Experienced in ERP Trade compliance module (SAP GTS, Oracle GTM) implementation and usage
