We are currently seeking a Buyer for Indirect Procurement, reporting directly to Rome Operating center Head of Indirect Procurement, based in Rome, Italy.

**About the Job**

The main activities for this position are enquiring, negotiating, buying, and following purchasing categories (goods / services), to ensure that quality, cost effective products and services are delivered in a timely manner in accordance with the needs expressed by relevant departments across the T.EN businesses.
- Experience in purchasing / procurement.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the rules and principles of procurement.
- Understanding of strategies and tools within the procurement discipline.
- Knowledge of key category suppliers and the overall market.
- Familiarity with commercial terms (POs / contracts) and terms & conditions.
- Comprehension of local constraints & regulations.
- Excellent negotiating skills.

**Role responsibilities and scope**:

- Participates in defining procurement strategies and activities to mitigate risk and generate value, together with the Head of Indirect Procurement.
- Assembles all information necessary for issuing an inquiry.
- Expedites bids and conducts all negotiations with vendors.
- Fulfils inquiries and purchasing activities within time and budget.
