In the EHS team reporting directly to Site EHS Manager the scope of the role is to promote a sustainable EHS culture to ensure employee health and safety and to protect the environment, in order to enable compliant operations and business effectiveness.
**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensures the updating and revision of company EHS management systems (site procedures), in line with company directives and sector legislation.
- Supports the EHS Manager in the management of internal and external audit activities.
- Promotes the culture of respecting safety within the site, through training activities on company procedures.
- Collaborates with the Engineering and Maintenance departments for the implementation of new projects or maintenance activities, making sure that the obligations relating to health and safety are adequately respected.
- Participates in the investigation of accidents / near misses and analyzes accident / near miss statistics, identifying trends and proposing improvement plans.
- Participates in the HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
**Assess and mitigate risks**
In collaboration with the EHS Manager, it identifies the risks associated with the various tasks, updates the DVR and creates a plan of actions and risk mitigations.
**Manages and coordinates the Health and Safety System**
- Support EHS Manager during third-party audit
- Participates in the process of identification and resolution of non-conformities
**Manages and coordinates the Environment System**
- Keeps the environmental management system updated
- Identifies and analyzes corporate environmental issues
- Evaluates the impact of the production process on the environment
- Identifies improvement objectives and technological and organizational solutions functional to the prescribed and eco-compatible adjustments
- Shedule and oversee compliance activities
- Prepares documentation for environmental authorizations
- Manages relations with Certification Bodies and Control Bodies
**Qualifications** ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- Ensure compliance with company requirements regarding the environment, health and safety and legal obligations.
- Respect for the code of ethics and corporate values
**Experience**:
Minimum: 1/2 years of working experience health, safety preferably in chemical or pharmaceutical industr
**Education**:
Preferable Degree in chemical engineering, Environment or Health & Safety engineering or science degree, or have a similar qualification not lower than the diploma.
**Languages**:
- Intermediate English
- Local language
**Training**:
**Mandatory**:
- Legal safety requirements according to Legislative Decree 81/2008
- Data Integrity
**Optional**:
- Other EHS training or qualification (e.g. ASPP)
**Skills**:

- Knowledge of the reference legislation (e.g. Legislative Decree 81/2008 and Legislative Decree 152/2006)
