Our client is a global leader in the laboratory diagnostics market.

With a view to strengthening their organizational structures, we are looking for a

**GLOBAL DIRECT CATEGORY SPECIALIST**

He/She supports the Global Direct Procurement Manager in direction for the categories in his/her scope. He/She will be directly responsible for the category performance, supplier performance evaluation and the development and realization of initiatives for risk reduction and saving

**Posizione**:
Key duties and responsabilities
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, agreements and relationships
- Maintain records for price-list and contracts
- Review, monitor, and report category KPIs
- Perform sourcing activities in coordination with the industrial sites
- Scout for new suppliers, products and technologies
- Support the manger to identify potential financial/operational risks
- Contribute to develop and deploy category management

**Requisiti**:
**Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Must have:

- .Bachelor’s Degree.
- Procurement experience in a structured and modernly organized company (2/3 years)
- Experience in sourcing and category management of direct materials
- Nice to have:

- experience in the life science industry

.experience in an international company
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, processes, software
- Knowledge of commercial law, cost controlling, accounting, passive cycle
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Technical understanding of the categories in scope in terms of products, technologies and services
- Knowledge of the supplier base of the categories in scope
- Understanding of GMP and ISO:13485 principles
- Integrity and ethical approach to business
- Problem solving, team player
- Good relationship management
- Good negotiation skills
- Internal and external stakeholder management
- Goal setting, decision making, task management
- Full working proficiency in written and spoken English and Italian
