About Villa La Massa
Sitting on the banks of the Arno river, in the heart of the Chianti wine region, Villa La Massa is located a few kilometers from Florence’s city center. Built in the 13th century as an enchanting country house for an aristocratic Florentine family, it was owned by European aristocrats until 1948, before it was transformed into a luxury hotel.
Villa La Massa welcomes today 51 rooms and three private residences, each distinct and uniquely designed; an elegant restaurant, Il Verrocchio, with its magnificent terrace overlooking the Arno river, L’Oliveto Bistrot, with a more informal atmosphere and the Medicean Bar, with its 19th-century frescos, a Spa and a curated selection of activities and experiences to embrace the quintessence of Tuscany lifestyle.
Position Summary
As a Spa Therapist you will be contributing to an enjoyable and relaxing Spa experience for all our guests.
**Job Description**:
- Create a sense of welcome and preparation for all our Spa guests
- Perform all facial and body treatments according to internal protocols and standards
- Display knowledge of all Spa products and services offered
- Ensure any treatment room is set up and fully stocked complying with all standards of service, hygiene and cleanliness
- Upsell Spa products according to guests needs to support achievement of established sales targets
- Work alongside the Spa and Front of House team to ensure a smooth booking procedure
- Assist with responsibilities and duties in case of heavy volume in the areas of Spa Reception and Fitness
- Nurture the relationship with all guests showing an authentic interest in preferences to ensure a genuine and personalized approach to suggestions and enquires
- Address and handle guests’ complaints with empathy and understanding and ensures a timely resolution by involving appropriate stakeholders
- Ensure the highest level of confidentiality protecting guests’ privacy and information
- Establish, maintain and nurture effective relationships with guests and colleagues
- Take an active involvement in ensuring quality standards are executed consistently
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in luxury hotels in a similar role
- Professional license as esthetician
- Knowledge of spa and beauty protocols, standards and product
- Refined manners, excellent presentation and attention to detail
- Strong written and spoken Italian and English
- Knowledge of LQA and Forbes quality standards will be a plus
- Legal right to work in Italy
