Catalyst Cost-out Leader

**Job Description Summary**: At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As Catalyst Cost-Out Leader you will be responsible to prioritize and drive various key cost-out initiatives to guarantee the materials cost reduction target for entire Catalyst engine. You will take a proactive and collaborative approach with the organization and with Suppliers to ensure that the identified projects are on schedule with the goal and to identify new ideas to secure plan with focus to meet manufacturing target cost set in the business plan. You will be responsible also to lead and coordinate defined projects to guarantee the Supplier readiness for Catalyst ramp.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible that buy parts (all engine) cost meets manufacturing target cost, identify and lead cost out projects in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Sourcing Commodities
- Coordinate with Sourcing Commodities the action workout or Kaizen events at Suppliers’ site in collaboration with Engineering team
- Coordinate with Sourcing Commodities to have adequate contract framework to support the program
- Drive all activities to fill pipeline of projects to ensure goal is met. Identify additional opportunities, develop business cases, prepare PCB and drive appropriate ownership/accountability to execute selected projects
- Provide high visibility/quality communication - build summary updates for cost-out operational reviews with the leadership to review ideas, project status, KPI’s, and deep dive special projects
- Be focal point for the Catalyst Engine cost out activities across the entire organization
- Lead medium sized cost out projects or be a major contributor in bigger ones
- Advise both functional managers and other functions regarding best approaches, processes and procedures within your own field
- Communicate timely, with accuracy and effectiveness across key stakeholders

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Aerospace/Mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university or college
- Strong experience in Program/Project Management, Sourcing or equivalent
- Ability to influence others and work in cross functional team
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines and ability to think strategically
- Strong influencing, collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Fluent in Italian and English language
- Availability to travel min 50%, mainly in Prague
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
