**Position Summary**:
The Finance Accountant will perform various accounting duties including but not limited to booking sales orders, issuing, and booking AR invoices, booking AP invoices, supporting the preparation of periodic VAT returns, intrastat declarations and balance sheet reconciliations with the aim of expanding the efficiency and optimize the timing of the deadlines of the finance department.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Manage the administrative part related to purchases:

- Check the order - product - transport document correspondence.
- Check the correspondence of the invoice with the transport document and with the order.
- Define and classify the items on the invoice according to the indications of the chart of accounts.
- Manage statistics (ie booking, sales and backlog)
- Book accounts payable invoices, differentiating payment type (RIBA - direct remittance) and due date.
- Support the controller in the payment process respecting treasury objectives/constraints, verifying the order-transport document-invoice correspondence.
- Managing the impact of tax legislation on the main items of the financial statements (regimes and obligations regarding VAT and direct taxes on business income).
- Preparation of Intrastat declarations
- Manage the administrative part related to sales:

- Check the correspondence between the conditions defined in the order, any offers and the indications contained in the customer card.
- Issue proforma, advance and delivery invoices and book them in the AR accounting.
- Remind customers of overdue payments.
- Support in the calculation of the monthly VAT (purchases/sales)
- Keeping the company accounts clean and reconciled.
- Responsible for assembling and managing in archiving of documents.
- Ensure that safety is a number one priority through safe practices and observing all safety guidance, rules, and policies.

Essential
- Degree in Accounting / Finance or relevant field

**_Licenses Or Certifications:_**

Desirable
- Full driving license.

Completed qualifications from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

**Experience**:
Essential

Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- ARCA ERP experience
- Comfortable working on several projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts.
- Understanding of finance principles.
- Awareness of the concepts of business strategy and methodology.
- Computer literate and able to learn a wide range of software packages.

Desirable
- SAP ERP experience
- Previous experience within an accounting function.
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing/engineering company.
