Construction Industrialization Specialist

JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Mission_
- Support the expertise of the GLOBAL STORE ENGINEERING Tech unit, with the specific task to develop BUILDING CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS (ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORs, FINISHES, FAçADES) for the global development of the retail network FOCUSED ON INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION, PREFABRICATION & MODULARITY, cooperating with other functions in charge of developing the same for Equipment, Furniture, Millwork.- Challenges_
- The position, jointly with the rest of the team, will support all the other functions involved in the store development (Concept, Design Execution, Construction PM, Planning, Procurement), monitoring costs of all concepts and store components, defining guidelines, providing technical solution & innovation, receiving feedback and finding solution for the construction phase. This shall happen in a timely manner following the store development flow, which is in continuous evolution._

- Main success factors are related to the capability of increasing the control on the store cost, quality, time of execution and durability, together with a focus on environmental sustainability & integration of new technologies that allows for construction industrialization and standardization._

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

- A - Contribute to the development of a new program/platform/process that allows to decompose the store in modular/prefabricated/pre-engineered elements that can be used by the designers and then produced massively in factory, shipped and easily/quickly assembled in the construction site.
- B - Identify new technologies and construction system as required by each concept/brand/market to fulfill point A
- C - Develop, share & train on technical guidelines drafted to improve & harmonize the design & construction process, collecting information from consultants, providers, other departments to implement the points A & B

NETWORK OF INTERACTION:
INTERNAL:
Within Global Store Engineering /tech unit : interact with unit manager and other specialists within the team

Within Global Store Engineering : interact with Interior furnitures R&D unit on a daily basis

Interact with Concept Design, Design exécution, Construction, planning, Procurement, Finance RE on a weekly basis. Ocassionaly intearct with IT, LOSS PREVENTION, BRANDS, RISC, VMs (based on specific needs)

EXTERNAL:
Full set of Nextore providers, with focus on Designers, Consultants, GCs, Milworkers, construction material suppliers, industrial program developers

TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE
- At least 3+ years of experience as designer/construction team leader-project manager/industrial development for the following area: Building interiors and/or finishes and/or façade construction with highly standardized & industrialized solutions. Expertise can come both from the building industry but can come also from large cruise ships interior fit out, trains/automotive interiors assembly. The key focus is capability/desire of develop cutting edge/new industrial solution for building assembly
- Experience within Hotels/healthcare facilities/Restaurants/Retail Store Development context for one or more of the following players: designer, producer, global contractors, owners, is a plus.
- Expertise/Knowledge/understanding of DfMA (design for Manifacture & Assembly) or DMC (Design Manifacture Construct) ecosystems is a plus
- Solid experience with CAD, OFFICE, software packages is a must. Specific experience with 3d modeling and BIM solutions is a plus.
- Experience in International environment. Experience in North America environment is a plus.
