Our Milan-based lifestyle brand is on a healthy growth trajectory and is seeking for a Collection Merchandiser, Maternity Leave contract.
The Collection Merchandiser supports the Collection Merchandising Director in all the collection development phases, working closely with creative, product development and commercial teams. He/She will analyze and maintain ownership of the market and the competitive landscape identifying new trends and customers’ needs and desires.
Key Activities:
- Collection Development
- Defines, together with Collection Merchandising Director seasonal collection briefings across all categories with competitive research on trends, benchmark brands, pricing, key items and opportunities.
- Prepare and implement the brand “merchandising grid”, which will define the offer structure of each collection/category in terms of breadth, depth and positioning - this to align with production needs and margin optimization.
- Work closely with Creative and Product Development teams on all phases of the collections.
- Present in product development fittings through all categories.
- Oversee fabric to sketch in partnership with Creative team.
Pricing
- Work closely with Product Development teams on target pricing and costing phases to ensure alignment of industrial, wholesale and retail margins.
- Prepare, oversee, manage in collaboration with Collection Merchandising Director all pricing files in all currencies and markets globally.
Merchandising Retail
- Collect sell-in and sell-out detailed info from B2B and B2C teams to build future collections and/or inject immediate quick win actions.
- Leverage in-house reporting activities to identify areas of opportunity to grow the business and to maximize sales and sell through.
- Work closely with DTC Merchandising team on defining the online merchandising plan and offering for all locations.
**Profile**:
- + 4 years Collection Merchandising experience
- Strong sense of style and understanding of high-end luxury products
- Strong Product Knowledge on RTW, Homeware previous experience a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and mindset, Excel and Power Point everyday use
- University degree in Economics or Business Management
- Personal drive and result oriented. Proactivity in proposing new solutions and exit comfort zone.
- A flexible and dynamic team player
- Excellent English knowledge
